Can I mount my Heatstrip outdoors?
Answer: Yes, Heatstrip is designed with an IP55 rating, this means it can be mounted outside and it doesn’t need to be covered. The heater is sealed and can be rained and even snowed on. Unlike other heaters, Heatstrip does NOT need a weather shield to operate outside.

Can Heatstrip be mounted indoors?
Answer: YES, Heatstrip can be mounted inside. They are commonly used in bathrooms and wet areas as well as hard to heat areas.

How High Do I Mount The Heater?
Answer: Heatstrip is most effective between 6 to 9′ from the ground. For high installations, use more heaters.

Is Heatstrip For Homes or Cafes?
Answer: Heatstrip is suitable for both Commercial and Residential applications. It has been designed and built tough for long use in commercial premises. It has been designed to look good and be unobtrusive for residential uses.

How close can the heaters be?
Answer: Heatstrip is unique in that multiple heaters can be mounted end to end, as many times as you need. It can form a larger heater system with multiple heaters.

How do I control my Heatstrip heater?
Answer: We have a timer switch or your electrical contractor can install a standard 15 Amp switch, it can also be controlled by your home automation system or a manual timer.

What does it feel like?
Answer: It feels like a warm summer’s day. Heatstrip is not the blaring hot of the glow red heaters. For the same Power as a glow red heater, Heatstrip is twice as long. This gives a more even heated area.

How does radiant heat work?
Answer: Like the sun, Heatstrip uses radiant energy to heat objects. This includes people and furniture. The black face of the heater is 650oF and this emits heat to warm everything in its footprint.

Are they easy to install?
Answer: YES, Heatstrip comes with standard mounting brackets that can be mounted straight or on an angle. Your electrical contractor can mount them to your roof or wall easily.

Does my heater need to be assembled?
Answer: NO, Heatstrip is fully assembled, all you’ll have to do is assemble the brackets. The rails on the rear of the heater, mean the brackets are flexible to be mounted along the length of the heater. We recommend 6″ from each end.

What is the distance between the holes in the standard mounting brackets?
Answer: 4” and you’ll need ¼” hardware (screws, bolts etc.)to attach it to the ceiling or wall.

What is the distance between the ceiling and the bottom of the Heatstrip?
Answer: 6”. Heatstrip is very low profile and unlike a lot of patio heaters allows the heater to be used close to the structure ensuring your floorspace is maximised.

How do I care for my Heatstrip heater?
Answer: We recommend you hose your heater down at least every 3 months especially if you are close to the beach or a salt water environment. The materials used have been tested to withstand UV from the sun and cold temperatures. Heatstrip is suitable for coastal and poolside areas.

Are they expensive to run?
Answer: No, Electric heaters are generally cheaper than propane gas. Depending upon your electricity utilities and the size of the heater you have. The most common size is a 2400 Watt heater, this will cost an average 25 cents per hour to run. This will be cheaper on industrial and commercial rates depending on where you are.

What approvals does Heatstrip have?
Answer: All Heatstrip heaters have UL (Underwriters Laboratory) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approvals. All heaters have individual serial numbers for tracking and quality as well. They are approved for sale and use in both Canada and USA.

Will my information be shared with a Third party?
Answer: Heatstrip USA will never share your email or any other information with a third party, we only use your email for order confirmation, customer service issues or to provide your order tracking number.

Only the receipt information is kept for service and warranty records. This includes name, address, email and phone number.

What type of security & payment protection do you use?
Answer: We use a 256-bit SSL security system that encodes all credit card and contact details to ensure their safety. Cardholder data is not stored on any server, only transmitted to the payment gateway at the time of a purchase. This data transmission is encrypted. We do not use vendor-supplied defaults for system passwords and other security parameters.
