FAQs — EcoFlow 160W Portable Solar Panel (EFSOLAR160W)

Q: How do I get the most solar power?

Answer: Increase the efficiency of your solar panel by facing it directly at the sun without any obstructions. Remember to be careful when handling your solar panel because damaged cells provide less power.

Q: Does it charge if it’s inside?

Answer: Yes, if the only thing between it and the sun is transparent, but it won’t charge as well compared to being outside. You can compare the difference by looking at the input section of your power station’s LCD screen.

Solar panel actually generates a little more than 80 watts actual in bright sunlight. These panels are quite fragile and not optimized for the camping and/or over-landing environment. I had a pair blown off their "kickstands" and tumbled across camp by a heavy gust of wind -- only one survived the ordeal, the other shows no overt damage - it just won't generate electricity. I expected more for my $360.00

Works great. Puts out plenty of power to charge the battery and run devices at the same time. It is just a little floppy using the case for the stand. I used a thin piece of wood and cut a notch in it to stabilize the base of the panel to hold it steady.

I love it! I live in the US Virgin Islands, where the power sometimes goes out multiple times a day for several hours. This is a lifesaver. My Delta arrived today and fully charged in less than 2 hours. I'm ready for the next outage! Thanks for lowering my stress and giving me peace of mind going into hurricane season. I'm already sold on EcoFlow!

First off I will say no solar panel will get the wattage that’s listed. The EcoFlow 160 watt panel is a powerful resource to have. On a clear sunny day I get close to 120 watts. Obviously you have to reposition to track the sun. Carry case that’s also a stand is wonderful and pretty accurate on the angle. Some of the negative reviews on flimsy with the wind I don’t understand because it’s sturdy enough. If extra windy use cord for guide wires. All there battery generators are very reasonable for how much you pay watt hour. Now when you include fastest AC charging around with one of a kind display. Only regret is not jumping on EcoFlow kick starter. Easy set up and take down. If deciding between buying one panel go with the 160 watt panel as worth every penny. Let’s face it that it’s not sunny 24-7 and when you need to recharge you will be glad you went with it!

Excellent product! The EcoFlow Delta's are extremely portable, but yet with several they power all my critical needs during power outages. I've also purchased 18 of the 160 watt panels, all produce roughly 113-140 watts in NC where it's not best for solar. Very impressed, love that they are waterproof and work with my BlueYetti and other products as well. If you're in a lower solar area like we are, I'd suggest a parallel adapter and more panels to ensure you can take advantage of peak sun hours for 24/7 coverage.
